Coyote in the Neighborhood

I’ve caught this coyote roaming the local street the past couple of weeks. Here are the last few clips of him.

The first one is from the morning of the 22nd, just after six. He comes in from the left past the mailbox, works his way across the top of the driveway at an unhurried walk, and is out of frame again inside about twenty seconds.

22 August, 6:17 AM.

A coyote walking across the sidewalk, seen close up: tan and grey fur, long thin legs, ears up and head lowered — Long legs, heavy coat, and entirely unbothered.

Three days later he was back, in the middle of the day this time. This clip runs about five minutes and he is in it the whole way through, mostly up at the top left of the frame near the neighbor’s driveway. He works his way along the far side of the street, spends a while around the hydrant, and only comes down past the house right at the end.

25 August, just after noon. He is up by the neighbor’s driveway from the start — worth watching to the end, when he finally comes down our way.

Both clips are downscaled for the web and the plate on the car is blurred. Nothing else is changed.
